Facts about hares-(inquiry)

Hello blogging world, A few weeks ago we started to do something to present facts about something of your choice that had to do with mountains. I chose to do facts about snow hares and then make it in to a infographic. Some people made animation and google sites also google slides and more. This was a fun task to do because you learn so much facts about what your topic was about. I learnt so much facts about hares and I think that other people learnt so much things too.

Here is a picture and a link to see my infographic. This was a easy task to do and a hard task because in the start everything was everywhere and it was to hard to control everything so it was just a mess. But this was an easy task because I already knew how to use piktochart to create an infographic so it was easy to add text, photos, colour and more. I really liked doing this task maybe I might make another one about cats because I 💜 cats.

The flying maths

Hello blogging world, last week we started a slide called 'our name NZ Journey' eg. Ashana's NZ Journey. It was about a journey that we had to go on to different places, but it wasn't really real, we were just doing it on a slideshow. We had to think about the cost of  petrol, also what kind of hotel we want, air flights, even a car to hire. This was really fun, but I wish that we were going for real. 

These are some of the photo's that are from my maths. The first photo is about  what we have to think about when we started this activity. The second photo is about some activity's that we could choose from they look really fun to do. And the last photo is about a cost for one day and that includes a car,hotel and also activity's.

What I learn't was how to control  a big cost because normally I can spend a lot money at once but it teaches  me  how  to control money. Hopefully you enjoyed this blog post about maths maybe you could try and make one.

How to make a good comment

Hello Blogging world two weeks we made a good quality  comment using a google slide to write the different parts of a comment. We used a individual blog to create a comment. We then had to make a acrostic poem about something(our names,school, Ako Hiko and other things)  and then we had to make it about what you need in a comment. You could use the example or you could make your own one that was similar to the example.



This is my cyber smart slide on how to make a good quality comment. This was a easy task to do because I already new how to make a good quality comment so it wasn't that hard to do. I really enjoyed doing this task because I like commenting on other peoples blogs because they like getting feedback on there work so it makes them really happy because they got comments from people.

Minecraft character

Hello Blogging world, last week we made some Minecraft characters during maths time. This was kind of a challenge because you had to make all the squares be the same size so then when you make your out lines and  colour it. This was a really fun task that you should try if you know how to make one. I made a minecraft character if me and then I made a cat's face which dose'nt really look like a cats face but it looks close enough.

Here is my character and cat. I think This is easy once you know how to do all of the steps first but it was really tricky when I was first starting to do it. If you want to try this ask your teacher if you can do this task it is very fun so you and your friends should have a go. This is a really fun task to be doing at home if you are really board. I like doing this because even tho I  don't play Minecraft I like making these characters

The place full of madness

Hello Blogging world, Today we went to a science  show that taught us lots of tricks and facts about science. The people that were presenting this were Richard and Robyn. This is a cool science show that you should watch you can check out  his websites to see some photo's of his magic shows and also some videos. This is a fun and interesting science show.

                                        What some of the things that we saw were...

 we saw this firework that shot up into the air and then it dissapeared. There also were these bubbles that were made really big also they got moved around. There was a leaf blower that was attached to a toilet paper roll and then it went flying. AND MORE.

                                                   what was really amazing...

what was amazing was probably everything because the tricks were awesome so it was hard to choose what was the best. The but what I really liked was the fire work because it shot up when he lit it.

                                              What I had learnt from this was...

that if you sprinkle grains on fire it spreads everywhere. Do you know what the thinnest thing in the world is? well it is a bubble. It was the so amazing because I thought the thinnest thing was a glass.There was a thing called friction and that was about  when you rub your hands together it makes heat and when you click your fingers together it makes sound.  also here's a really interesting fact- only substance on earth that exist in is Gas/liquid/solid.

                                               What I am wondering now is...

I wonder how he does all of those tricks and when did he start learning them? He must of took classes that he's so good and so careful. I wonder why he was learning how to do magic tricks and how quick did he learn them.

Overall I think the science is a great idea to go and watch because you learn lots of things and it's so much FUN!!! it is the best magic show Iv'e ever watched. This is a great experience that you should go and watch with your family you'll be amazed the minute it starts and then when it finishes you'll want to tell your friends.

My camp experience

 Hello blogging world,Today I am sharing my camp slideshow with you. We went to camp last week and we went to Mt Ruapehu and we could do skiing or snowboarding I did skiing because my teachers said it was easier to do than snowboarding. We went to lots of places my favourite stop was the hot pools. We got a 10 thousand$ grant for our camp and that was good because before it was $500 but it went down $200 for each person and there was 70-74 people going to camp. I really enjoyed  camp.
(also a big thanks to our bus drivers Roy and Barry!)


This is my camp slide about all the things I did at camp and some of the photos of me and some friends are on there. My favourite thing on the mountain was the chairlifts because now I know how to get on and off the chairlift. 

This camp was a big bravery experience for me because I have never done skiing before and never been on a chairlift before but it was really fun doing both of those things,also working as a team when we did group activities. Our group(the blue team) we came second when we did the Edmund Hilary walk way in Otorohanga.

 It was really interesting to know all of the facts about all of those different things(hope you could do it one day to learn some facts)This camp was a success because we had great weather on the mountain and because mostly everyone was wearing there thermals.

Overall I think everyone had a great time because they all came back will smiles and everyone came back safely. I would like to say a big thanks to all of the parents and teachers that came to camp.

We had the task to do the one of the words in brackets to see if it makes sense we highlighted them so the person who was reading it knew what word we did here is my grammar Activity hope you enjoy.


This is my grammar. Have a read and see if it makes sense(click here to see a better view)The things that I found easy was that you had to work it out and see if it made sense. The things that I found hard was there were two words that made sense but then you had to highlight one of them.
