Our fun day!

Hello blogging world, A few days ago we had a fun day and it was about having lot's of fun, We had three stations to go to there was a water slide and pool, a place where you play games and a places where you go on your wheels like your scooter bikes and more . We were split into three groups it was senior middle school and juniors the senior group did the water slide and pool first. It was fun zooming down the water slide and having heaps of fun. Then we wen't into the pool to cool down and relax. After that we went to do games the first game we played was capture the flag it is a really intense game. A little after we played t-ball it is like softball. When we changed over we played board games and had lunch it was a tiring day but it was time to get our wheels out I did not have some wheels but I borrowed some other peoples and I learnt how to ride a bike!!!!!

I really enjoyed the day and people in there cars wanted to come to the day but it was only our school. I loved the day and it was really fun my favourite part about the day was the water slide I really enjoyed  zooming down it. I also enjoyed the board games and versing one of my friends at chess but I lost because they cheated so i still could of won the game but I lost It's okay I just play her again another day and get my revenge. After we packed up the wheels it was time for home and now I knew how to ride a bike I wanted to go on a bike forever.

Six thinking hats

Hello blogging world, Last week week we made a slide around the six thinking hats. The topic was our gala day. It was so much fun and it was fun to see everything like the dances and wet the teacher it was so amazing to see a bit of every culture which is cool because I never knew about what happens in every cultures dance i was in the Bollywood group and it was fun to see what happens in there dance. Everyone had a blast and everything went well. Thanks to everyone that came to the gala day we really enjoyed the company.



This is my slideshow about the celebration day I really enjoyed it and I also enjoyed doing my dance. What was hard to do was trying to find the right photo's about the day to put on my slideshow. And what was easy was remembering all of the parts of the day and I already knew some of the things that were happening on the day so it was easy to think about the parts. What I learnt was how to reflect on my learning.

Our creation for paper

Hello blogging world, for our gala we had to make something to sell and we made recycled paper. It is very easy to make but in some parts it is a little tricky. This was a good thing because it was sustainable to the earth because we are not wasting paper. We are reusing it and making into more paper that is recycled paper . Paper also comes from the trees so if you put it into the ground it will just go into the dirt because it is biodegradable. We are creating Christmas cards because it is Christmas and also some seed bombs that you plant into your  garden and then it grows into a beautiful flower. Here are some photos

If you want to know how to make paper it go's like this:

What you will need to make is:

• bucket
• water-cold/hot
• deckle/mould for your paper 
• sponges/cloth 
• 2 containners with a flat surface at the bottom 
• used paper 
• patients
• masher/egg beater 

Know how you make it is:

1. Firstly you Rip some paper a good size not to big because then you have to do a lot of hard work. After that you have to add water that is hot and then leave it over night 
2. When you wake up your paper will be ready to mix it up with your egg beater. Then when it looks like porridge you poor it into one of your containers and add three/two buckets of water.
3. After that you get your deckle and the sheet with it and you put them together and put your frame on top and then put it in and grab some mesh that you made and after that you let it drip dry 
4. When it is drip drying you get your container and you flip it up side down and then you put your cloth or sponge on it.
5. after that take the frame off and then you flip it onto the sponge then take the deckle and place another sponge/cloth on top of it and run you hand along it.
6. Lastly take the sponge off done!

 Overall I think making paper is really fun to do because you are doing something sustainable which is good for the earth. What was hard to do was the mixing part and the ripping. But the easy/hard part was making the piece of paper. Maybe you could try making paper or you could even tell your teacher if your class could make paper one day because it is really fun to make. Maybe you could come to our celebration day and buy some of our paper from our school.

The gala day of the year term 4

Hi there blogging world, A few weeks ago we made a poster about our gala day 2017. Come along because we have lot's of things that is so much fun. We made made this poster with pastels pencil and vivid. We applied the pencil first then we made the outline with vivid. After that we coloured them in with pastel and made them look beautiful. This gala day is on the 25th of November form 10.30-3.30 so be there if you can😝. There will be food to buy, dances, stalls that the students have made things for people to buy for example recycled  paper, soap made from scratch and  tote bags made from fabric they came from all around the block and and all the classes have made a product each. Here is my poster!

This is my poster it doesn't  have a good view because it is really big. But it has lot's of things on it that will be happening on the day. On the day it will be lot's of fun you will get to do the things that you see here and also other things.

This was a easy task because I know so much about the day but what was the easiest was it was really easy to draw it all up because I already had a draft in my art book so all  I had to do was copy it onto the sheet of paper.

The things that were hard/frustrating were after I drew my poster there was more things that the teachers told us about after some people were close to finishing but I could not start a new one so I just kept the one I made.

Overall I think the day is going to go well and I hope you could make it to our school-(Waikowhai Primary School) on the day it will be sad if you can't make it but that's okay. I Hope lot's of people come.

Facts about hares-(inquiry)

Hello blogging world, A few weeks ago we started to do something to present facts about something of your choice that had to do with mountains. I chose to do facts about snow hares and then make it in to a infographic. Some people made animation and google sites also google slides and more. This was a fun task to do because you learn so much facts about what your topic was about. I learnt so much facts about hares and I think that other people learnt so much things too.

This was a easy task to do and a hard task because in the start everything was everywhere and it was to hard to control everything so it was just a mess. But this was an easy task because I already knew how to use piktochart to create an infographic so it was easy to add text, photos, colour and more. I really liked doing this task maybe I might make another one about cats because I 💜 cats.

The flying maths

Hello blogging world, last week we started a slide called 'our name NZ Journey' eg. Ashana's NZ Journey. It was about a journey that we had to go on to different places, but it wasn't really real, we were just doing it on a slideshow. We had to think about the cost of  petrol, also what kind of hotel we want, air flights, even a car to hire. This was really fun, but I wish that we were going for real. 

These are some of the photo's that are from my maths. The first photo is about  what we have to think about when we started this activity. The second photo is about some activity's that we could choose from they look really fun to do. And the last photo is about a cost for one day and that includes a car,hotel and also activity's.

What I learn't was how to control  a big cost because normally I can spend a lot money at once but it teaches  me  how  to control money. Hopefully you enjoyed this blog post about maths maybe you could try and make one.

How to make a good comment

Hello Blogging world two weeks we made a good quality  comment using a google slide to write the different parts of a comment. We used a individual blog to create a comment. We then had to make a acrostic poem about something(our names,school, Ako Hiko and other things)  and then we had to make it about what you need in a comment. You could use the example or you could make your own one that was similar to the example.



This is my cyber smart slide on how to make a good quality comment. This was a easy task to do because I already new how to make a good quality comment so it wasn't that hard to do. I really enjoyed doing this task because I like commenting on other peoples blogs because they like getting feedback on there work so it makes them really happy because they got comments from people.
